Bobcats and National Basketball Academy announce summer camps

The National Basketball Academy and Bobcats Sports & Entertainment will co-host the official Charlotte Bobcats Summer 2010 Basketball Camp Program, it was announced by Program Director Grant Gibson. Seven camps will be offered this summer to boys and girls ages 7 to 16 at locations across the Carolinas beginning June 14.

Campers will be grouped by age, skill and gender when possible. The camp curriculum includes skill development stations such as shot mechanics, ball handling, passing, defense and rebounding. There will be guest speakers, daily skills competitions, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. Campers will also receive a game ticket to see the Bobcats play at Time Warner Cable Arena during the 2010-11 season, a skills packet to take home, a Bobcats T-shirt, basketball and headband.

Registration is currently open for the following camps:

DAY CAMPS

  • June 14-18: Lifepoint Christian Church – Fort Mill, SC
  • July 5-9: W.R. Anderson Recreation Center – Winston-Salem, NC
  • July 12-16: Time Warner Cable Arena – Charlotte, NC
  • July 19-23: Time Warner Cable Arena – Charlotte, NC
  • July 19-23: Greensboro Sportsplex – Greensboro, NC
  • August 2-6: Lifepoint Christian Church – Fort Mill, SC
  • August 9-13: Time Warner Cable Arena – Charlotte, NC
