Albuquerque Reacquires Johnson

GREENVILLE, S.C., Jan. 18 – The Albuquerque Thunderbirds have reacquired center Ken Johnson and waived forward Randy Orr.

Johnson, 6-11, 240, was waived by the Thunderbirds on December 29 to rehabilitate an ankle injury. He was selected by the T-Birds in the third round (22nd overall) of the 2005 D-League Draft. The Ohio State product has played in 11 games (nine starts), averaging 28.7 minutes, 10.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.2 blocked shots.

Orr played in 15 games (four starts) for Albuquerque and averaged 15.8 minutes, 5.3 points and 2.7 rebounds.

Johnson is expected to be back in his No. 32 jersey T-Birds jersey when Austin visits Albuquerque on Friday.
